Currently I have;

Active.
Yamaha RV-V767 Receiver
Yamaha BD-S667 Blu Ray player
B&W CDM7 SE Speakers with Wharfedale 10.1 Centre, Sub and rear speakers.
I watch mostly TV so probably an overkill, occasionally watch a music video.

Dormant.
Marantz PM-16 Amp
Theta Digital Data Basic Transport
Theta Digital DS Pro Prime DAC
All with appropriate interconnects and cables (not top drawer but still good stuff).
(the CDM7?s were originally attached to this system)

Recently Acquired (for free)
MBQuart QL 40C (4 ohm input)

So having been disconnected from the AV / Stereo happenings for some while now I need some opinion?s before I embark on the arduous task of rewiring, side by side tests, re-arranging my lounge etc. So the questions are;

1. Would it be worth doing side by side listening tests with the CDM7?s and the SR 40 C?s or should I not waste my time. Are the BMQuarts any good?

2. Would it be worth it to have the two systems side by side (I have the space) with the one being for general AV stuff and the other for dedicated stereo listening with the better of the two speakers being attached to the stereo system.

3. Will the stereo system significantly outperform the AV system for stereo listening or should I abandon the stereo system and do all my stereo listening on the AV system.

Regards
