Good evening all

Am a newbie and urgently need some advice:

Have an Acoustic Research set of speakers. Am an audiophile, what I know about AV is not dangerous, but a bit of a learning curve.

I have the following speaker system:

Stand.png

It has a 10" sub with amp in right pedestal: AR-RK10CH rated at 120

Also have AR-VPXS12 floor standing sub with amp rated at 220

Have 2 sides AR-VPRX rated at 170

Mid is an AR-VPC2X rated at 150

Front speakers are AR-VPX rated at 240

All are 6 ohm

First off:

1. Is it a good set, I think so, but am not qualified to make such a judgement

2. Approximate value. For insurance purposes.

Now the actual question:

Will a Yamaha RX-A2070 drive them properly?

Is 12k for the amp, which looks to be in mint condition, worth it? Or do you have a better recommendation?

As mentioned, I am into audio more than AVR, so stereo quality is important.

Need reply soonest as I am currently bidding for Yamaha RX-A2070 @ b12k

Any response will be appreciated.

Thank you
Adie
