On Saturday I listened to Frikkie's vinyl setup and I was quite impressed by how good it sounded, bearing in mind that my previous experience of vinyl was one of the "Snap, crackle and pop" variety.
I struggled for a while to describe what it sounded like and in the end I would say that the sound is organic compared to CD, all in all quite a pleasant experience. I would be looking out for something like the Technics TT and off course a Phono stage from now on
The vinyl side of things consists of a TechnicsSL-D1 with a AT27 cart and using the phonostage of a NAD 3150 Pre.
