Is there a good place to find some free surround sound demo tracks?
I need a "Left Front, Center, Right Front...." type of thing more than an impressive set of explosions.
In my current setup I often lose a speaker connection (cats, cleaner...) and then realise it once family movie night already started.
I still use a Mede8r and play the typical MP4, AVI, MKV, etc files.
Recently I was very frustrated because I could only get stereo, regardless of me setting the amp into all its modes etc.
Eventually I remembered I did a Reset on the Mede8er to fix some other issue, and I noticed that changed the audio output mode (from e.g. pass-through to stereo - I forget).
Anyway, the tracks I downloaded then didn't help me much because I thought they were only stereo (I never used them while it was all OK).
So now I'm thinking of keeping a folder with some demo / test movie files ready, in different formats of file as well as sound encoding, which I can easily use to check that all is well.
BUT where to get such clips?
