Slim wall-mounted 5.1 Home Theater speakers

Hi guys..
I'm looking for some advice & suggestions on setting up my lounge's speakers...

I rarely use my lounge's home theater system, or TV for that matter; perhaps some gaming [but generally use my Yamaha RX-v373's Silent Cinema feature with headphones for that], and mainly for DSTV - SuperSport HD's football coverage.
I want this build to focus on that, so I can truly enjoy the for the Football World Cup [should be broadcast in 5.1]...
Budget-wise, I'd go for best bang for buck.

I'd ideally like some slim, wall-mounted speakers and a decent active sub... I'm not opposed to building the slim wall speaker boxes either, so please give me your suggestions.
