I need some suggestions on steaming audio from a hard drive.
My pc is far from my Hi fi and I dont want to leave it on 24/7 so I think squeezebox is'nt the right thing.
Second thought is to buy a notebook (R 2500 Game) and play via Musliand monitor - spdif to the DAC.
Problem here is no remote.Otherwise a desktop with a tv card and spdif card so that I can use tv for monitor and a wireless mouse (remote) .
Lastly a dedicated media streamer ie tvix.
Would there be a difference in sound between the various streamers?
I think not if the software bypasses sound card etc.
