So I've been toying with the idea of setting up a headphone rig instead of my usual amp/speaker setup. I mainly listen at night and at lower volumes, so I'm thinking I no longer need all the power. Plus a smaller low-fi set is good enough for watching movies and TV.
The headphone rig would completely replace my stereo setup then. I'd use it for music listening only.
I have most of my music collection on a HDD plying through a WD media player, then through a DAC to my amp. Very easy to access.
What would i need to set up a good headphone rig? All advice appreciated, thanks
