I've been told that one can expect a reasonable 15 years from speakers, after which the rubber surrounds start to deteriorate or perish. This is exacerbated if the speakers not in regular use, or "parked" for a few years.
At this point, replacing the drivers is the same as just getting a new set of speakers.
Whats the general consensus ? Do speakers or their drivers require a replacement every 15 years or what's a good innings for a speaker?
