Running 4 ohm load speakers with a 6 ohm certerfied receiver

Could you kindly assist with an issue i have? Can one run 4ohm speakers with a receiver that can handle up to 6 ohm? What are the pro's and cons of this scenario? I would appreciate all the help I can get regarding this
