Hi guys.
So recently I bought a Sony PS3 [http://www.takealot.com/games/sony-playstation-3-slim-console-320gb--gt5--fifa-11--2-x-dual,9773285] to go with my Sony TV [http://www.sony.co.za/product/kdl-40ex400]. I've had the TV for a few months, I normally use it as a second monitor for my PC [my 23" monitor @ 1920x1200 and the TV @ 1920x1080 - both 60hz], but I connect the PC to the TV via a standard VGA cable.
Now, when I plug the PS3 into the TV via a HDMI cable (which I got for like R100 from a local computer shop), and try to set the Video Output Resolution to 1080p or 720p it doesn't sync and eventually falls back to 576p. This is a problem.
My only guess can be the cable, unless I'm missing something.
Any help/ideas?
