I've just got hold of a Full HD LCD (cheapie - Bi Design). I can't get picture or sound through over HDMI from my PS3. I get picture and sound over the PS3 via RCA cables into the TV. I went to the display settings screen via the RCA connections and ask the PS3 to output the display via HDMI, and press OK. It goes black, and then returns via the RCA signal only. I've used two HDMI cables, with no results, so I'm sure there's no problem with the HDMI cables. I've plugged the HDMI cables into all 3 HDMI ports on the TV, but no results. I've set the PS3 back to default settings - same thing.
I'm thinking the HDMI port on the PS3 is faulty, but don't have any way to test it. The TV is brand new, so there's probably no problem there.
There is a "No Sync" screen saver that comes up on the PS3.
I don't want to send the PS3 in for a check unless I've explored all possible setting problems. Any help is greatly appreciated.
