OK So I'm an ignoramus with this stuff so bear with me please I'm sure a fellow forumite can help me out here....
I've got a Marantz SR5001 that I've setup on a second system for my kids to watch movies with etc..... Because it doesn't have a Phono output I bought a NAD 302 from a fellow forumite to hook up to my TT, instead of either having a spare dedicated set of speakers for the TT or having to unplug speaker cables each time to listen to the TT I thought of integrating the two using the pre out / pre in? Trouble is I've got no idea on how to wire this and dont want to burn my house down
On the back of the NAD I only see a pre out which is bridged to the main in, would I take out this bridge and connect the Marantz pre out to the NAD main in?
Apart from convenience would there be any audible or other benefit?
Am I way off the mark here and should I stick to switching cables?
