So looking to buy a subwoofer for my office/media room - I've had an SVS NSD12 which I sold so I've got experience with that.
I'm looking for an 8 inch this time as the I found that 12 just struggled to match the speed of smaller speakers, it didn't integrate so well.
It felt like it was just too much when setting the crossover to around 120hz to fill the void. for everything below 50hz it was great.
I've listen to my friends 8 inch Orb Super8 and the musicality is just far superior on that smaller driver. Its really fast and punchy without leaving too much extra bass out in the room.
It had far better tonality to my ears.
Anyone have suggestions as to what 8 inch subs out there are decent?
It seems to be a small market though - under 10k is ideal.
