This is a real mix of what I have in the parts bin... The main object with this project is that I do not really need to go out and buy much (well OK there is always something with DIY)...

Richard kindly donated this one: http://www.avforums.co.za/index.php/topic,20783.0.html

and I had this one sitting in a cupboard: http://www.avforums.co.za/index.php?topic=7252.0

And then I had the following: http://www.avforums.co.za/index.php?topic=10904.0

Why not put them together.... Since the B52 Richard gave me has a nice toplate (but bum arm and noisy idler) and the the B52 I had was afflicted with Kent Kassler rust (and a bum tonearm) but does have the sought after metal idler (though with a flat spot)... The arm has been doing nothing in my cupboard for yonks but is missing the bit that holds the armlift and the arm-rest...

Hey presto, the arm fits perfectly in the Lenco B52 hole (and its the right mounting distance) and the armlift and armrest from the B52 work perfectly on the Mayware unipivot... We have a go

So far I have stripped the Lenco B52 plinth from Richard and clad it with some Meranti I had lying around... Corners have been rounded and the next step is to do some fillering here and there...  :coffee:
