Ah I see what you mean.

Ok using Schiit's cheapest option for the Freya is $120(R1620) my courier will be R1011

Please confirm exact exchange rate used in the above calculation.  R 13.50?

Also be aware that with my example of the Freya, one can pay Schiit by either credit card or Paypal (3% levy).
Paypal will have the benefit of PayPal buyer protection and thus be preferred.

Can you allow for PayPal, not to pay but the protection? (obviously for a fee)

Perhaps rather quote a variable figure(min-max) to allow for +-5% variance?

Thanks! I understand warranty-related issues will be for my account, but what happens if the item is damaged (or lost) in transit?

All deliveries are 100% guaranteed against loss/damage. Full refund or re-order, whichever you prefer.

I just used 13.5. It's certainly not an exact amount or indicative in any way of current or future pricing. Just an extremely wide ranging ballpark as an example.

Please don't add R1011 to the price of a Freya and take that as the price ;)

Protection against what?

I have PayPal as a payment option, but the 3% applies and the double forex conversions take a toll, PayPal doesn't support the rand. It's really for people who have PayPal funds and want to use those.

Like EBAY protection...

The seller only gets paid if you are happy and you have a certain time period to put in a claim. The claim gets checked by PayPal on a case by case basis.

If you are unhappy with the product and want to return it.
Got it but it is not as described.
Never got it, lol

In the example of the Freya with $120 shipping and R 1011 courier. What is the expected order/transit/delivery time?

Ah I see, doesn't really apply to my service:

"If you are unhappy with the product and want to return it." The customer supplies the links and chooses the products, if a link is not provided I ALWAYS link in the customer to what I'm ordering if I'm unsure about it. I can't be held responsible if the customer chooses the wrong thing. If it is wrong I will organise return shipping but it will be at customers cost.

"Got it but it is not as described." In this case I will naturally contact the vendor and get a replacement sent at their cost.

"Never got it." All orders are insured, I will refund or replace any lost or damaged goods in transit.

Hope that clears things up!

Delivery is in under 3 weeks for standard and 2 weeks for express. But again that R1011 is a ballpark figure and only part of the total, it is NOT a quote. PM me for a full quote on the Freya.

I would flip the one fading line.  Looks like the forces are fighting each other.  Looks nice.

Hmm that's a good observation, the starting point was 3 S's stacked and he ran from that. I'll speak to the graphics designer and get a test with a flipped line and see.

Perhaps something like this?

Flipping colour lines a bit too much for my Photoshop skills, but I do agree ...

As someone who deals with logos and branding daily please take heed that my comments are not meant to offend, just to point out what I see as the glaringly obvious.

I can see the 3 Esses & it ties in with your text/entity name. Nice.

I like fdlsys 3 arrows better than the original tapered lines which were opposing one another.

However - It looks like an amateur drew a Bitmap in MS Paint. One can clearly see where the straight line & curves meet - no curved lines, just jagged pixels. Looks very unprofessional.

If you want the number of the graphic artist we use drop me a PM. To redraw this logo properly & provide you with both vector .pdf for printing/branding & 3 different size .jpg images for email signature/web/forum etc. the cost would be in the region of R700 ex VAT & he'd give you the Pantones for printing purposes as well.

Also remember for branding purposes that shading is a PITA. Can only use solid colours for screen prints (unless you're prepared to shell out for a CMYK print), all pad prints, laser engraving & embroidery (those 4 being the most common & popular branding methods.

Digital print will do shades no problem - Digital transfer, dome stickers, vinyl stickers, Direct to product & heat press (anyone who still uses heat press should be shot in any case).

Sorry gents but the arrows are not going to happen. specifically banned the use of any arrows right from the start. Too cliche  for a transport company.

100's, I'm sure if I get to the point of making branded baseball caps the logo will have changed ;)

The only things I'm likely to print in the near/medium future will be business cards and flyers, even that's unlikely.

But to get back to serious business:

USD AVAILABLE

I have $780 available, only advertising this here on avforums as you guys are aware of how it works. First come first served, but combined with the stronger rand at the moment the costs may be quite a bit lower. Max single purchase I can do is $500 though.
