How do i connect a Wharfedale WH-AV4337?

Hi

I recently bought this Receiver:
Wharfedale WH-AV4337

It has HDMI input & outputs.

I have a HD PVR and an HD LCD.

and HD cable is connected from the PVR to the receivers AV1 input
another HD cable is connected from the receivers output to the HD LCD.

I cannot view anything HD from the receiver.

I can however view video & sound using normal RCA Cables.

Is there something i am doing incorrectly?
The manual i received is not much help.
