That is an awesome point - these audiophile pressings have the worst kind of music on it - I certainly fell into the trap and bought a stockfish or similar  lp and listening to it is like pulling teeth

Then again I guess I do listen to strange stuff - but I would not listen to it if someone suggests it will make my system sound like a million bucks

My current favourite labels for great pressings -Original pressings

- Linn
- Kitchenware
- Rough Trade
- ECM
- Japo
- Verve
- Blue Note
- Nautilus
- MOFI
- Simply Vinyl

Gents,
I demo'ed a vinyl 180 gram kings of Leon...it was garbage and expensive.

Then I listened to a jack Johnson (same label pressing) and it was brill...

So I have no idea to be sure my money is not wasted...would be great to be able to demo.

Anyone listened to the Alison Kraus & union station latest pressings?

Gotchaman, Alison Krauss & Union Station's 'Paper Aeroplanes' is both an excellent pressing and an excellent LP!
