So, with all the various threads about this chip, I figured I'd give it a bash.
Rudi was kind enough to organise me two chips, so I went and put one together. This one is based on Walt Jung's design.
As is typical, I've taken it a little too far I think. It was meant to be a simple Linestage. But, I was getting tired getting up and changing the volume the whole time, so I put a micro in to allow IR remote. Then, I figured, I'd make it have an input selector. Quickly it became more complicated than it had to be ;D Oh well!
So, the result is a linestage with an IR remote motorised pot with a 2 channel selector. The interface is currently programmed to take any Sony remote and it can be programmed for any button to control any function.
See pics attached:
Linestage PCB with ALPS pot
All boards in enclosure
Almost complete, just have to get a knob turned
I've not had time to listen yet, this is actually meant to be used with one of Rudi's Gecko amps (almost done!) and then I need to get hold of some nice AD823 opamps as well.
I'll keep you all posted ;D
