I've been thinking these past couple of months that I'm never gonna change my Stereo setup, however, I've just seen the devil that may make me part with my hard earned cash and that's the Yamaha AS3000 and CDS3000 range - and I only saw this on the website when I read about the new Aventage AVR range (Changes every year).
I'd certainly be interested in other's views of Yamaha's improvements. The AS3000 seems to be a big step change from the AS2000 and AS1000 that's been around for about 4 years I think.
Yamaha is employing Mosfets and VU meters on the amplifier, the last of which i saw on the Technics just before they were killed by Matshusita.
Yamaha further claims that the pre and power sections are totally separate. So will this put an end to the integrated vs. pre/power combo debate ?
