Just about all my audio and video travel via a Mede8er to my two-channel system. A network cable in the ceiling connects the hard drives in my study to the system in the lounge. I'm happy with this arrangement, but lately I've been wondering if I'm doing a disservice to the digital audio passing through the Mede8er to my Metrum Acoustics Hex DAC.
Is it possible that a media player with all the features of a Mede8er (I don't want to forgo the convenience of an all-in-one media player) can pass through a better-quality digital audio stream to the DAC?
