Have a Dell XPS. This machine has 1 x USB3 port and 1 x USB-C port. Its running Windows 11
Attached to the USB3 port is a 4-port hub. There is a light that comes on when it starts. Plugged into the hub is a wireless mouse receiver and a DAC. Both work fine
But attach a hard drive (a USB powered drive or a drive with an external PSU) and the machine does not see them. The USB external drive spins up
Plug the drives in directly, there is no problem.
Looked at Windows Tools, Administrative Tools, Computer Management and Disk Management and nothing shows up
Been looking for solutions in various places, but none of the suggestions make any difference
Plug the hub into a desktop, all is well
Any suggestions please?
