Morning all. I have a brand of subwoofer that has 2 passive drivers. Problem is I am often having to replace the passives as the foam rubber surround perishes. (And I have 3 of these subs).I am not a fan of high volumes or abusing my speakers so the damage isn’t a result of this type of use. I am now thinking of removing the passives altogether and making a wooden blanking plate to seal where the passives were. Beside making sure the wood seals properly into the cabinet any other thoughts or advice you may share? Even if it’s do it / don’t do it... Thanks
