I have a set of Boston VR2 speakers and one of the speakers have both their bass drivers damaged.
The damaged bass drivers sound like they have voice coil damage (excessive distortion and scratchy sound). Replacement drivers for these Bostons are hard to find (not available from the suppliers anymore) so I'm tinkering with the idea of building slightly smaller cabinets and only fit one bass driver per cabinet as I still have 2 out of the 4 drivers in perfect working order.
By removing one of the drivers would this affect the total impedance?
