I have an old DVD recorder - remember those!? - from before the days of HDMI, so it's connected to my receiver by a nice thick set of RCA cables, but I was just wondering if there'd be any benefit in using an RCA-HDMI converter and plugging it into the DVD-assigned HDMI port on the receiver. It's not going to improve the quality, is it, so is it just my own OCD that says it should be plugged into the DVD port so that I can select "DVD" when I want to watch a DVD?? :nfi:
