into their quality car audio back in the day ?
I was about 25ish and bought 6.5" MBQuart splits (prior to the Rockford buy out) , 5" MBQuart rears (for ambiance) and a single 12" JL Audio subwoofer with a custom box. Power was a small 50w x 4 Infinity amplifier and Kenwood Mask radio.
Today -I got the original JLAudio subwoofer back, as it's been sitting my brother cupboard ever since I got a built in car radio. It cost me a 1/3rd of my salary back then - but I loved it. It's in mint condition now ... even the stickers aren't yellow or peeling or faded. Not a dent, nick or even a scratch. This is now 15 years old!
I remember entering an unofficial car sound quality at Craighall Car radio and coming 2nd with my 4 speakers / 1 sub combo ....everyone else had two or three times the price, Rockford systems with 8 speakers and dual subwoofers.
