Please help. Upgrading my system...

I currently have Rotel Rc-1550 pre-amp, Rotel Rb-1552Mk2 power amp and Dali Oberon 3 speakers (recently purchased). I want to upgrade pre-amp to RC-1572mk2 or RC-1590 and can not find any for sale demo/used and in some instances even new...Question: Is there a notable difference between 1550 and 1570/90 range? and worth the spend? I know they include XLR's which I want. What could be an alternative to Rotel pre-amp? Plse help with some advice?
