Hi all, Im looking for a solution to my A/V setup, its going to be a bit complex but I'll keep it as simple as possible.
Ok, we currently have a old Pioneer VSX-D512-S, which is working perfectly but we are going to be adding an Android Box, this amp wont work as I need to have HDMI ARC but we will get to this later.
The main issue is that my dad is hard of hearing so our current setup is: TV-> HDMI -> DSTV explora 2A -> Optical out-> Amp -> 3.5 cable -> Headphones
Which is fine, now we need to add in a Android TV box which will need to supply the TV and amp with sound.
The TV doesnt have an ARC port (will double check but doubt) nor does it have Optical out.
So what I need is an Amp that can switch between the Optical cable for the DSTV and HDMI for the android box without having to unplug anything.
