Online retailers: Your expectations on response time to queries?

To me this is simple. If you run an online retail business, I reckon you need to respond to e-mails within one day at the very most (I am referring to local sites - for overseas sites I of course consider the time difference). I have made some e-mail enquiries to a couple of online Public Address / professional sound retailers, and in very few cases have the response times been satisfactory. Some have even taken a week or more to respond. This surely cannot be good for business. Just as bad as the infamous "I'll call you back"
