I currently own a Onkyo TX-SR-606. Which is a relatively old AVR 7-8 years.
Now my question is if you don't need 1080p up scaling and you don't need 3D processing in your AVR and the other goodies.
How does the sound compare between old and new AVR's? Is it worth it to save a bit and buy a newer model if I'm only interested in my 5.1 dolby digital I get from an Explora?
PS. I haven't heard any other AVR other than this one.
