Since my HiFi got stolen a few months ago, I've been paying witha loan CDP. My idea was to get a DVD player that sounda good on CD playback as well.

Came across a Thule DV100 for sale second hand. Excellent build, very solid enclosure. Acording to Thule it should be compared with a CDP of same value in terms of cd playback quality. Must say it sound quite good

This weekend I got a Vincent SDV-3 DVD player. So I can get the Thule for R5000 second hand, its still as good as new, and the Vincent for R10 000 ex demo.

Could the R5k difference be worth it? I never thought so and thought I will end up with the Thule....

My first impression is WOW!!!!
The Vincent stuff is good, very good, but thats just my opinion.

Current setup:
- Maestro 120W Power amp.
- Audio Research LS2B MKII pre-amp (available second hand from a friend for R5k. Still thinking about buying it)
- Thule Spirit DV100 or Vincent SDV-3 DVD player. (Have to make a decision which one to buy)
- Chario Accademy 1 loudspeakers.

@ Abe
I can recall you asked once if the Chario's sounds as good as they look.
The true answer is: Absolutely!!!
