So I?m not (yet) a big head-fi guy but I couldn?t resist grabbing the opportunity to own these interesting vintage ear speakers.
Branded Maruni ES-801DD. Apparently 70?s Japanese made Electrostatic. No external transformer or special amp required so apparently these are known as Electret ?
They are only arriving tomorrow via courier so haven?t tested yet. They were sold as working but have no idea about quality.
Not much on the ol interwebs about them but it seems like they MAY have been a Stax OEM ? Also branded as Prefer and even Marantz.
Let?s hope these baby?s work otherwise I have just bought a vintage decoration, at least a very pretty one !
