I am in need of a 24VAC power supply for a turntable motor.
I can get hold of a number of 24VDC power supplies at second hand shops around Cape Town.
My question: can I open one of these up, and "remove" what turns the AC into DC (e.g. a bridge rectifier) and then I have a 24VAC PSU?
What else would I have to do / change / add / look out for?
The upside would be that they come in nice (open up-able) enclosures with power cables and switches and lights, etc.
Thanks,
Johan
