I have a BMW (E46) which is fitted with a BMW Business Radio/Tape and CD Shuttle in the boot - the sound quality is cr*p and the first thing I have realised is that the BMW fitted speakers must be replaced - paper speakers are fitted I believe.
I want great sound, want to be able to play CD, MP3/4, CDRW etc and still be able to use the interphase from my steeringwheel. One person I phoned said that should I replace the BMW headunit then I'll have to sacrafice the interphase from the s'wheel. BMW SA told me that there are units out there that I can fit that will interphase with the s'wheel and that any BMW dealer should be able to tell me which units I can choose - yeah right, no dealer knows.
So maybe there is a fundi here in the forum that can advise me.
