I know most of you don't frequent the DIY section, so this is just a heads-up.
I am planning an "open-source" forum project for an open baffle (OB) speaker at a reasonable price - something using locally available drivers and not overly complex to build so that even fellow members who don't have too much confidence in building things would be able to join in. This will not be a "kit" - we will rather try and make some kind of arrangement with local suppliers for the bits and pieces needed.
No moneys will be paid to or otherwise received by me - I consider it a community project whereby I will do the design of the speaker completely and publish all the plans including crossover schematics, etc on the forum.
The discussions started this morning and we are in the early stages of figuring out the what and how of this project. Please feel free to take a look at the thread linked below and join in the discussion if you are inclined.
