Driver.
« on: January 28, 2017, 06:20:50 PM »
MarkC kindly loaned me the Xmos to run with the Benchmark dac. I've tried downloading the driver (3 weeks), my lady also tried to no avail. Can someone please help? With a copy to the correct driver link for Windows 7. Any advice would be appreciated!... Just finished rebuilding all the XO's on the Tannoys and would seriously like to run tonight.

Thank you for looking.

Is it not one of these, Al? 2nd, 3rd or 4th one.

Alan let us know how you find the XMOS ... and how it compares to the uDSD in this function. Sorely regret selling that Benchmark ....

Thanks Francois, I haven't put the Benchmark up against other dacs yet but I suspect that it punches way above it's weight.

Can't compare the uDSD and XMOS because only had 2 days with the uDSD and then a long holiday listening to many systems in between. MarkC ran both so he would be much better qualified to answer your question.

Sometimes you can look at the Properties of the device, specifically the Hardware ID in Device Manager and this can lead you to an alternative name and/or driver for the product
