Collected from Aramex today...after "overnight" took 2 days to get to JHB.

Very understated design that. Neat! Enjoy.

Schiit included a Christmas present... ordered sans DAC and/or phono.  It arrived with the balanced DAC fitted, and it's actually pretty damned good ;D

Very smart indeed.
If Brent's one also includes a DAC I would be keen to compare it to the Deckard as a one stop headphone solution.

Enjoy.
Also still waiting for the HD800 vs LCD-3 comparison write up <- soon

When I bought my jotty and plugged in my fostex cans it was like I had upgraded cans, sound stage was 2x as wide, mids smoother but most noticeable was how hight the bass was. It made me so excited that I then went out and bought a pair of HD800's to compliment them and keep them company

Then Rotten Johnny goes and buys LCD's and tells me everyday how great they are..

Drifter every day I tell myself that my Fostex TH-X00 are as good as the LCD's and I am too scared to find out if they aren't  :groovy:

Looking forward to pluging the 800's into the jotty

What I will say is that the built in dac is pretty darn good for a delta sigma dac

Those LCD3's have a great sound, but hell they're heavy.

I will say this, if you've been listening to the LCD3's for a while and you switch to the HD800 it sounds very thin.  Add to that an immediate sense of lightheadedness and cooler ears.   ;D
