Ok ? so I am new this site. But have been reading off and on for some time. I finally have some time to attempt a DIY speaker build but struggling to find any local suppliers that sell kits as below examples from parts express in the US.

How does everyone else go about this? Looking for the drivers with XO in a known configuration that I can just purchase and then build the speakers cabinets and finish to my taste. Being my first build I want to do something small and manageable (i.e. ? read budget build) like a pair of bookshelf?s and then move up to floor stranding?s over time to incorporate into a home theatre system.
