Are these NOS amps any good?
Made in West Germany according to the boxes by Macrom.
Matched MOSFET Monoblock 90w RMS(at 4ohms) Modules, the manual says the MOSFET transistors are hand selected and the single components are assembled and tested one by one, sounds like some boutique amps marketing blurb :whistler:
They were originally made for car audio use but Macrom designed them to be connected to a feeder power supply unit that ramps 12v up to 34V and then feeds the 34V to the monoblocks. From what I understand that makes it very possible/easier to use them as Hi-fi monoblocks as a 34v requirement will make building a decent powersupply easier. A 34v power supply will not need to supply the enormous amperage a typical 12v car amp would require. Is my thinking correct there or are these just white elephants?
Any one have any idea's what they are worth, a fair value to sell them at?
