Is it safe buying marantz amp with not all hdmi outs working

I am considering buying a Marantz avr that has 1 hdmi out working and 2 not
I need 1 hdmi out......
Is this safe or is there a danger of having the existing hdmi out also give issue due to some of the others already faulty?
