Which is better: 4/8/16 braid headphone cable?

I'm about to make some headphone cables for my HD800S, as well as a soon to arrive LCD-4.
Cables will be made from stripped Mogami W3106, sleeved with paracord (#95 / #275) and braided, and will be using Eidolic connectors

So the question is - Which is better, 4/8/16 braid headphone cable?

Aesthetically, 8 & 16 round plait looks great on non-sleeved cables.. not sure if they would be as flexible or look as nice with the paracord sleeving.
Are there there any 'sonic' benefits to 8 / 16 braid cables vs. 4 braid cables?
