Hi All,

I am having a little difficulty with setting up my reciever and need some advice.

Tv: Skyworth 55G6A11T
Receiver: Marantz SR4003

I have the tv connected to the reciever via optical cable, I then have my xbox one S connected to the tv via hdmi and to the reciever via optical.

The reason for this setup, when passing audio from the xbox to tv to receiver I do not get surround sound, only stereo pcm, for some reason I can not get 5.1 surround from the tv's optical output, even though the tv is set to always output surround sound and is spec'd as having dolby digital and dolby digital+. So I have settled for not having any surround sound from the tv, hence connecting the optical audio output of the xbox directly to the amp, which does give me surround sound.

Phew...

So the situation I now have is two optical inputs going into the reciever, one for tv, one for xbox.

My problem is that I can not easily switch between inputs. For example if I press the input button on the remote I can select only the digital input which has been assigned in the setup menu, so if I want to change from digital input 1 to digital input 2 for audio, I need to go into the setup menu and change the assigned input to digital input 2, which is so tedious. I can not simply switch between digital input 1 and 2 on the remote.

Is there another way to do this? Am I missing something?

Thanks.
