For a while now, I've been trying unsuccessfully to attenuate that bass drone which, I. THINK is a result of both subwoofers placed in the one place it should never be ie. The corners.
I have no choice, as I cannot snake wires to the other side of the room.
This seems to have sorted my problem. I owe Monitor Audio for this tip for they suggested this for the RX8 (to decrease its bass).
I've put foam (which otherwise was destined for car-wash duty) into the airflow ports. It seems to have worked wonders and the drone is 80% gone.
The one subwoofer is a downfiring Boston Acoustic (XS5.1) model, which IMO seems waay to powerful.
