My Yamaha speaker cabs are looking a little shabby. I though the following may work:
Mask off drivers and model plate.
Fill scratches and dings with black spot-putty.
Flatten down putty.
polish paint with rubbing-compound or polishing cream.
Finish with black wax - the stuff used for car bumpers.
I realise this is a rough'n'ready approach, but the though of a complete strip and respray is just another big DIY job that I don't have the time for.
What you guys think? My main concern is the rubbing compound - perhaps there are better options.
