I got a scrap piece of 18mm plywood measuring 1220mm x 410mm and will use 38mm x 38mm pine PAR I have left from a previous structural build...

Acoustic Calculator gives me these measurements on a 400mm x 400mm ground plate or backboard... I'll cut the blocks on lengths of 50mm (50/100/150/200) so not precisely to calculator but thereabout...

My question.... If the last block in the top row stops at say the 2nd number 4, do I carry on starting with 2 3 3 on the second row? Or do I start second row as in grid pattern?

This will be my 1st attempt/trial so don't need perfection... just want to see if it does make a difference.

It will go on the back wall where there's currently an absorber panel mounted... just an experiment to play around with really cos when removing back panel it brings a bit of liveliness to listening position that I like...
