I am going to waltz onto the forum and spunge off your rich knowledge and market resuearch like a bergie!
Here's my story:
Moved into fancy new Century City - Cape Town apartment. 8)
Got 40" LCD. 8)
Got PS3 8)
Got Mede8er 8)
Got Ipad 2 8)
Walked into Hifi Corp looking for Receiver + Speakers that will put all these sources to good use!
See these mean looking heaps of plastic with so many zeros on the WATTS advertising that I had to cringe and walk out again :'(
Requirements:
Warm bass
HDMI
Budget: R6000 - R10000
Post your starter setups and vendor suggestions because the money is burning a hole in my pocket!
I'll bet it is good to have a little look at what's available every now and then, even for you veterans. ;D
