I thought this might be a thread that could grow into a useful resource for others, and so that I could ask an embarrassing question of my own:
I'm using banana plugs for the first time. They're only at the ends connecting with my speakers' binding posts. I thought these 4mm plugs would fit snuggly into the posts on the 685s but they sit rather slackly. Is this normal? I thought they'd fit much more securely. At present with a little tug they could come out. Not ideal in my opinion. If this is normal, I might revert to bare wire arrangements.
