Just bought my first DAC, a Korg DS-DAC-100m... Larney neh? Haha, anyway it has DSD which I have never heard of so did some googling and came across a very good article:

http://www.mojo-audio.com/blog/dsd-vs-pcm-myth-vs-truth/

And at the end there's a link to this DAC: http://www.mojo-audio.com/mystique-v2-0-dac/, well I want one...

Apologies if this is another cable debate or some such, seems like it has the makings of one sadly.

Oh and as an aside, with the Korg I'm getting I'll be setting it as default audio device so everything goes through it. I've found much info of what happens when using the Audiogate player software but none about when I DON'T use it:

In it's control panel it's got settings to select PCM sample rate(I know DSD only works through Audiogate), what does it do if the source has a different sample rate? Does it convert it to what you set it as in the control panel(resample) or play at the source rate? If it does lock at the specific set rate what rate should I set?
