I have acquired the above Rotel cd player that I am using as a transport.
I want to divert the digital coax out to a new and better quality RCA jack that I will be fitting next to the existing one.
My main question is - do I simply disconnect the one lead going to "A106" on the small output board mounted on the back panel and solder that to the new jack [ and ignore the digital switch circuit "A105" ] or do I do mods to A105 as well.
Also - does that digital switch circuit operate automatically when the analogue outs are in use [disconnecting the digital output ] ? There is no manual operation for it as far as I can see. It would be good to keep if that is the case.
Anything else need doing? - such as upgrading the digital output wire. Upgrade the caps around the digital receiver chip and general PS upgrades perhaps?
thanks
