So the wife and I watched TRON last night - special effects excellent, music cool and storyline OK... 
BUT, here is the enigma - I chose the setup to be 7.1 Master on the BD, even though I have a 5.1 system.
Somewhere during the movie, a really bad and crackling sound came from the rears, but really bad, sounded like they were blown or clipping!!
I tested it afterwards with "standard" BD and everything was fine again.
Could this be because I chose a 7.1 soundtrack on a 5.1 system?
I did check the Amp settings as well and the surround backs were definitely switched off, hence the Amp should "know" that it does not have a 7.1 speaker setup.
I suspect that "strange" frequencies were sent to the sat's, which they could not handle.
Any thoughts?
