New Tidal HiRes (Max tracks) vs Roon (@CD level)?

I updated my Tidal Hifi plus yesterday to enable the Hires (up to 24/192) streaming and compared it to Tidal through Roon (still at 16/44).
I am hearing a better soundstage (but not sure if just pshychoacoustic effect)
So tried 3 paths:
1. Mac mini (Tidal HiRes with a "Max" track), through DDC, DAC, Amp
2. Mac mini (Tidal through Roon), DDC, DCA, Amp
3. Lumin T1 streamer (Tidal through Roon), DDC, DCA, Amp

1 came out best

Just want to check the experience of others.
